Brief Personal Bio
Born and bred on the Mediterranean islands of Malta and Gozo, I have lived in Paris, and am now based in Mallorca, Spain. I am a hardcore entrepreneur, a futurist and 21st century human software engineer. I believe the world is changing, which is why an urgent R/evolutionary upgrade is necessary to, not only stay abreast of the times, but more importantly, to spearhead value movements. I believe “Blockchange” will be the new normal, as the global movement aligns to new tech and collective parameters.
A keen promoter of the Master in Creativity at the University of Malta, and a visiting lecturer at the University of the Balearic Islands, in 2005 I spearheaded (US based, present in 60 countries) de Bono Thinking Systems business in Spain, which is concerned with creativity as a systematic, rigourous approach to business. I have since taken over representation for Portugal and Malta. Prof. Edward de Bono has been the most relevant influence in my life since I met him at a very young age . Creator of Lateral Thinking, and Parallel Thinking amongst others, Edward is considered the world´s leading authority in conceptual and creative thinking, having written 84 books translated into 43 languages. A renaissance man, he was talking about creativity and innovation, design thinking, and “out of the box” well before anyone else. His latest book called “Bonting”,focuses on creating a language to define value. We were interviewed together at the BlockChain Delta /Zest conference in Malta in 2018.
I have held positions Director in Sales and Marketing in the service industry, and previously in Malta and Paris held roles related to international organisations such as UNESCO, COUNCIL OF EUROPE, Heritage and Art & Culture. An avid reader, globe trotter writer, rave analyst and speaker my mission and vision as a global citizen is to make a positive impact on the future that is already here. Future+
I believe that in the next 7 years we will see great changes on planet earth. It is my daily practice to build co-creative, co-llaborative and contributive groups. Whether large or small. My largest audience was 2000 people at the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao, where I was a guest speaker for the Basque University. I speak six languages (Maltese, English, Spanish, Catalan, French, Italian) but the most important one is my 7th: the language of creativity that crosses boarders, hearts, and minds. As Einstein once said: “Logic can take you from A – Z, but imagination can take you anywhere”.
